ALBERTA RADIO INVESTIGATION | October 25, 2026

Newly examined document trails raise questions about Epstein's Canadian travel, an international conference invitation, and business relationships. No Canadian politician named in this report is established by these records as participating in Epstein's crimes.

Released Epstein records contain several Canada-related trails: a 2014 invitation associated with a Canadian-supported conference, Canadian immigration correspondence, plans and follow-up correspondence surrounding a Vancouver gathering, and business transactions involving Canadian firms. Alberta Radio is examining these records to distinguish direct interactions from indirect mentions and unverified claims.

The Canadian government invitation

An August 20, 2014 invitation addressed to Jeffrey Epstein for a Salzburg international seminar carried the name of then-foreign affairs minister John Baird and was associated with a Canadian-supported event. Baird's office subsequently said he was not consulted about Epstein's inclusion and did not believe he had met him. The invitation alone does not prove attendance, personal contact, or wrongdoing. Document leads: EFTA00600661 and EFTA01206334.

Immigration records: a Canadian government interaction

A released Canadian consular letter dated April 4, 2018 reportedly refused Epstein a temporary resident permit to travel to Vancouver, citing criminal inadmissibility. This is official institutional correspondence, not evidence of a politician's personal relationship. Document lead: EFTA00799054.

Vancouver, March 2014

Travel schedules and a March 18 follow-up email attributed to Epstein describe a Vancouver visit and a private gathering organized by John Brockman. The proposed guest list included prominent technology executives and investors. A guest list is not proof that every named person attended. Document leads: EFTA00372972 and EFTA01929775.

Canadian business and aviation records

Additional released-document leads include investment discussions involving the Canadian-linked technology company Blockstream and a 2012 aircraft transaction between an Epstein-associated aviation company and Calgary-based Eagle Copters. These are commercial-document trails, not proof that either company participated in Epstein's crimes. Leads: EFTA01917472, EFTA00638276, EFTA00023437.

Marina Abramović and the arts network

Correspondence attributed to John Brockman describes a proposed December 2014 arts gathering featuring Marina Abramović, with Epstein among prospective invitees. The correspondence does not establish that they met or that children were involved. Lead: EFTA00357054.

What about Canadian political leaders?

The research to date has not established direct Epstein correspondence, aircraft travel or island visits by Mark Carney, Chrystia Freeland, Justin Trudeau or Jason Kenney. A name appearing in a forwarded news clipping, public-event photograph or third-party guest list does not establish a personal Epstein relationship. The same evidence standard applies to every political figure.

Two records requests being pursued

The investigation is pursuing Canadian access-to-information records from the Canada Border Services Agency about Epstein's 2014 entry and 2018 refusal, and from Global Affairs Canada about the Salzburg invitation, guest selection, funding agreements and correspondence. Some records may be withheld under privacy or other exemptions.

What the evidence does — and does not — show

The records provide legitimate grounds for questions about travel, introductions, public funding and commercial dealings. They do not establish that Canadian politicians participated in Epstein's trafficking operation. Alberta Radio will distinguish original documents, independently corroborated interactions, proposed meetings and allegations that remain unsupported.
