Alberta Radio October 27, 2026 gas prices: Calgary 162.4¢/L, Edmonton 160.9¢/L, Airdrie 161.9¢/L, town averages and separately labelled Wednesday forecasts.

Gas prices edged down across much of Alberta on Tuesday, October 27. Calgary averaged 162.4¢/L, down 1.9¢ from Monday, while Edmonton averaged 160.9¢/L, down 1.3¢. Airdrie held at 161.9¢/L.

Read at 8:58 AM Mountain Time. Changes are compared with the October 26 pull at 11:36 AM MT unless otherwise noted. All prices are Canadian cents per litre for regular gasoline, except where diesel or premium is specified. These are reported snapshots: prices can change before you arrive.

Wednesday price-drop forecast: a prediction, not a pump reading

Canadians for Affordable Energy forecasts regular gasoline falling 16¢ to 143.9¢/L in Calgary and Medicine Hat on Wednesday, October 28, and 14¢ to 141.9¢/L in Edmonton. Its diesel forecast calls for drops of 23¢ to 196.9¢/L in Calgary and 24¢ to 194.9¢/L in Edmonton. These are the forecaster’s projected changes from its own Tuesday figures, not changes calculated from today’s CheapGas averages.

The same forecaster called for no change on Tuesday. Observed averages instead slipped about 1–2¢, broadly consistent with a quiet day. CheapGas’s own forecasts remain unavailable. If your tank allows, waiting until Wednesday could save money if the forecast materializes; the size and timing of any change remain uncertain.

Calgary gas prices: 162.4¢/L

CheapGasCalgary’s 8:25 AM snapshot covered 285 stations, with the newest report at 8:05 AM. Calgary’s average fell from 164.3¢/L to 162.4¢/L. That leaves it 1.4¢ above the supplied pre-tax-holiday benchmark of 161.0¢/L.

The lowest reported regular price was 146¢/L at the Costcos at 12901 and 12905 Buffalo Run Boulevard. Tsuut’ina Gas at 5898 Weaselhead Road and Tsuut’ina Gas Stop at 9915 Chiila Boulevard were at 148¢/L. Costco at 75 East Hills Boulevard SE was at 154¢/L. Costco fuel requires membership.

Edmonton gas prices: 160.9¢/L

CheapGasEdmonton’s 8:55 AM snapshot covered 252 stations, with the newest report at 8:10 AM. The average fell from 162.2¢/L to 160.9¢/L, putting Edmonton 1.1¢ below the supplied pre-holiday benchmark of 162.0¢/L.

The station list showed 150¢/L at 14035 Victoria Trail NW; Mobil, 12350 137 Avenue; Shell, 12950 137 Avenue; True Values, 5724 19A Avenue; and Your Spot, 12104 161 Avenue NW. That is 1¢ lower than yesterday’s reported low.

A conflicting snapshot headline advertised 149¢/L at “Yellow,” without an address, but the station did not appear in the same snapshot’s top-five list. Treat that figure as unconfirmed; this update uses the listed 150¢/L reports for Edmonton’s low.

Airdrie gas prices: 161.9¢/L

Airdrie’s 8:25 AM snapshot showed an unchanged 161.9¢/L average across 18 stations and a 162¢/L median. Gas Plus at 200-800 Airdrie Road was lowest at 160¢/L, reported at 6:44 AM. Nearly all other stations were at 162¢/L, while UFA on Highland Park was at 163¢/L.

GasBuddy and CAA: another view of the market

GasBuddy’s Alberta page showed Calgary at 162.2¢/L, down 1.4¢ from 163.6¢, and Edmonton at 159.9¢/L, down 1.5¢ from 161.4¢. Differences between trackers reflect their reporting samples and update times.

Sources and reporting notes

This article uses the supplied October 27 morning digest, including its stated timestamps and source comparisons. Prices were not independently rechecked during publication. The unconfirmed Edmonton 149¢ report is flagged above; older Kalibrate and Costco data are labelled by date.
