Alberta Gas Prices Today: October 19, 2026 Monday Update

Calgary and Edmonton gas prices continued to fall in Alberta Radio’s Monday morning update. GasBuddy’s supplied average for Calgary was 151.7¢/L, down 2.2¢ overnight, while Edmonton averaged 146.3¢, down 0.4¢. The readings were collected at 10:09 a.m. Mountain Time on October 19, 2026.
Today’s city averages are separate from the Costco station listings below, which came from the tracker’s Sunday-evening update. All regular gasoline prices are cents per litre. Costco prices are for members only and should be confirmed at the pump.
Calgary and Edmonton gas prices: Monday averages
Calgary’s GasBuddy average of 151.7¢/L was approximately 9¢ below its pre-tax-holiday comparison level in the supplied briefing. Edmonton’s 146.3¢ average was approximately 16¢ below its comparison level. These are city averages rather than prices charged by every station.
CAA’s supplied national average was 173.5¢/L, down 0.4¢. Calgary was about 22¢ below that benchmark and Edmonton about 27¢ below. The national average is a comparison point, not a claim that every driver elsewhere in Canada pays that price.
Costco gas listings: updated Sunday evening, October 18
The lowest price in the supplied Costco list was 132.9¢/L at east Edmonton’s 50 Street NW location. Nisku was listed at 134.9¢, down 2¢. These are dated tracker listings, not a fresh Monday inspection of each pump.

Nisku | 134.9 | Down 2¢ |

Red Deer and Calgary — Heritage Gate | 142.9 | — |
Grande Prairie, Lethbridge and CrossIron | 149.9 | CrossIron down 5¢ |
Medicine Hat and Okotoks | 154.9 | — |
North Edmonton and Winterburn Road were listed at 137.9¢, while Buffalo Run Boulevard in Calgary was 138.9¢. Sherwood Park, St. Albert and south Edmonton shared listings of 139.9¢. Red Deer and Calgary’s Heritage Gate were 142.9¢.
Grande Prairie, Lethbridge and CrossIron were listed at 149.9¢; CrossIron was down 5¢ in the supplied comparison. Medicine Hat and Okotoks remained at 154.9¢.
Diesel remains around 210–240¢ per litre
The supplied briefing puts diesel broadly around 210–240¢/L. Specific Costco listings were 207.9¢ in Grande Prairie and 213.9¢ in Calgary. The Grande Prairie listing sits just below the rounded range, so the exact station readings are shown separately.
Diesel and regular gasoline are different products and should not be compared as interchangeable prices. Earlier CheapGas diesel lows around 160¢ were identified as unreliable in Alberta Radio’s October 17 correction and are not used in this update.
Price outlook: no change expected through Tuesday
The supplied forecaster outlook called for no change through Tuesday. That is an estimate, not a guarantee about individual stations. A broadly steady outlook can still coincide with local price differences or changes between reporting times.
Before making a detour for cheaper fuel
Check the age of the station report, the fuel grade, opening hours and Costco membership requirements before travelling. A 10¢/L saving is worth $5 on a 50-litre fill; extra driving can reduce that benefit.
The Costco figures are the lowest listings in the supplied snapshot, not proof that every Alberta station was surveyed. Confirm the price displayed at the pump before filling.
Sources and reporting notes
This article and its approved Alberta Radio graphic use the figures supplied for the October 19, 2026 briefing. GasBuddy and CAA readings were collected at 10:09 a.m. MT; Costco listings came from Sunday evening, October 18. The readings were not independently reverified at publication.
