Alberta Gas Prices Today: Calgary, Edmonton & Airdrie – Tuesday, Oct 13, 2026
Here's your Tuesday check on Alberta gas prices. Calgary is averaging 162.6¢ a litre for regular and Edmonton is at 157.4¢, with the cheapest stations at 147¢ in Calgary and 142¢ in Edmonton. Below is where things stand as of 11:15 a.m. MT, and whether it pays to fill up now or wait.
Calgary
Calgary drivers are reporting an average of 162.6¢ a litre across 281 stations, with a median of 161¢. That's down 2.0¢ from Monday's 164.6¢, and the 4¢ jump the tracker predicted yesterday has not shown up yet. The lowest price in town is 147¢ at Costco (both gas bars), 12901 and 12905 Buffalo Run Blvd. GasBuddy's Calgary average was 162.3¢ as of late this morning.
Fill up or wait? Fill up today. The tracker expects a rise of about 9¢ a litre by Thursday.
Edmonton
Edmonton drivers are reporting an average of 157.4¢ a litre across 256 stations, with a median of 159¢. That's down 1.8¢ from Monday's 159.2¢. The lowest price in town is 142¢, a tie between Canadian Tire at 2204 101 St NW and Petro-Canada at 3003 Calgary Trail. GasBuddy's Edmonton average was 154.3¢ as of late this morning.
Fill up or wait? Fill up today. The tracker expects a rise of about 9¢ a litre by Thursday.
Airdrie
Airdrie is running higher than the big cities, averaging 164.5¢ a litre across 19 stations, down 2.0¢ from Monday's 166.5¢. The best deal right now is 155¢ at UFA on 937 Highland Park Blvd NE. Next are five stations at 162¢: the Co-op at 301 Midtown Blvd SW, the Esso Circle K on 1st Ave, the Fas Gas at 128 Main St, Gas Plus at 200-800 Airdrie Rd and the Shell at 109 Centre Ave. Most other Airdrie stations are at 166¢.
Outlook
Both local trackers now say fill up today. CheapGasCalgary.ca and CheapGasEdmonton.ca each expect prices to rise about 9¢ a litre by Thursday, so Tuesday may be the low point of the week. Yesterday Calgary's tracker called for a 4¢ rise by Wednesday, but prices kept easing instead.
For context, CAA's national average for regular is 176.1¢ a litre today, compared with 176.5¢ yesterday, so Alberta drivers are still paying well below the Canadian average.
The fuel tax holiday
Alberta's 13¢-a-litre provincial fuel tax holiday started Oct. 1 and runs through Dec. 31. On Wednesday evening, Sept. 30, the night before it kicked in, Calgary averaged 161.0¢ and Edmonton 162.0¢. Today Calgary is 1.6¢ higher and Edmonton is 4.6¢ lower than that. Calgary's average is now above where it sat before the tax cut, so for now the savings are at the cheapest stations.
