Alberta Gas Prices Today: Calgary, Edmonton & Airdrie – Sunday, Oct 4, 2026
Here's your Sunday check on Alberta gas prices. Calgary is averaging 153.2¢ a litre for regular and Edmonton is at 152.3¢, with the cheapest stations at 135¢ in Calgary and 141¢ in Edmonton. Below is where things stand as of 12:25 p.m. MT, and whether it pays to fill up now or wait.
Calgary
Calgary drivers are reporting an average of 153.2¢ a litre across 284 stations, with a median of 150¢. That's down 1.2¢ since this morning's 154.4¢. The lowest price in town is 135¢, a four-way tie between 7-Eleven at 11488 24 St SE, Centex GOmarket at 20 Douglaswoods Dr SE, Mobil / Esso at 15915 Macleod Trail SE, and Petro-Canada at 11 Sunpark Dr SE.
Fill up or wait? Wait if you can. The tracker expects a drop of about 12¢ a litre by Tuesday. The weekly price cycle takes about 4¢ off and the 7-day average is falling, down 7.5¢ against the 21-day trend.
Edmonton
Edmonton drivers are reporting an average of 152.3¢ a litre across 270 stations, with a median of 148¢. That's down 0.6¢ since this morning's 152.9¢. The lowest price in town is 141¢, a tie between BVD Travel Centre at 16002 114 Ave and Esso / Smart Stop 24/7 at 9850 34 Ave.
Fill up or wait? Wait if you can. The tracker expects a drop of about 11¢ a litre by Tuesday. The weekly price cycle takes about 5¢ off and the 7-day average is falling, down 5.9¢ against the 21-day trend.
Airdrie
Airdrie is running higher than the big cities, averaging 159.1¢ a litre across 15 stations, unchanged from this morning's 159.1¢. The best deal right now is 150¢ at Gas Plus on 200-800 Airdrie Rd, followed by Esso / 7-Eleven at 900 Market St SE (152¢) and Mobil at 1050 Yankee Valley Rd SE (152¢). QEII commuters can also check the Costco gas bar at CrossIron Mills in Balzac, about ten minutes south, which CheapGasCalgary.ca says is frequently the cheapest fill between Calgary and Red Deer.
Outlook
The local trackers say hold off if your tank can wait. CheapGasCalgary.ca expects Calgary prices to fall about 12¢ by Tuesday, and CheapGasEdmonton.ca expects Edmonton to drop about 11¢. WTI crude is sitting around $96.16 US a barrel, and the Edmonton rack (wholesale) price is flat over the past five days.
The fuel tax holiday
Alberta's 13¢-a-litre provincial fuel tax holiday started Oct. 1 and runs through Dec. 31. On Wednesday evening, Sept. 30, the night before it kicked in, Calgary averaged 161.0¢ and Edmonton 162.0¢. Today Calgary is 7.8¢ lower and Edmonton is 9.7¢ lower than that.
